Why Choose Us
WE PROVIDE End-To-End Sandblasting Solutions IN THE SAME FACILITY
Most sandblasting companies don't paint. Most spray painters don't blast. Melbourne Industrial Coatings was built specifically so you never have to coordinate between the two
At Melbourne Industrial Coatings, abrasive blasting and protective coatings happen in the same facility, by the same team, under the same quality control. The moment your components are blasted to the required surface profile, they move directly to prime coating without leaving our floor. No transport window. No flash rust risk. No second supplier to brief. No fabricated metal products are arriving at a paint shop already compromised.
Strict Adherence to Industry Certifications & Fast Turnaround Time

Omar came to the rescue and had my equipment and tanks painted faster than anyone else I could find in Melbourne.
The job was time critical and he came through without short cuts just worked extra hours until it was done. The prep and finish have passed the test of time, two years on the job still looks like the day it was painted. Burgundy 2 pack over epoxy zinc after rust was blasted and removed! Highly recommend him! Price was competitive.

WHY CHOOSE MELBOURNE INDUSTRIAL COATINGS?
One Supplier.
THE ENTIRE Process
Blasting and Coating, Both In-House
Most blasters don't paint. Most painters don't blast. We do both, with the same team, in the same facility, under the same quality control. That removes the risk of jobs getting delayed or damaged between suppliers, and it removes the cost of double-handling. For manufacturing and engineering businesses running to tight delivery schedules, that distinction is significant.
Capacity That Matches Your Job
We handle individual components up to 5,000kg per piece and take on jobs of all sizes, from single automotive components to multi-batch industrial production runs. If a job pushes past our facility capacity, we'll work out a solution rather than turn it away.
Credentials That Get You Past the Tender Stage
Not every sandblasting business in Dandenong can quote on defence, rail or government work. We hold four separate licences for ADF work, carry the APAS certification, and are members of the Australian Corrosion Association (ACA) and the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP). For manufacturers who subcontract defence and military finishing work, those credentials matter at the tender stage.

Approved by the Manufacturers Who Make the Paint
PPG, AkzoNobel, Jotun, Dulux Interpon and WLE have each approved our work as applicators. That level of manufacturer endorsement is not common in this industry, and it gives our clients confidence that the coating system will perform as warranted.
Quotes Turned Around from Photos
We quote from photos and engineering drawings, so you don't have to wait for a site visit before you get a number. Send us the specs and we'll get back to you fast. For jobs with urgent timelines, we can also accommodate second and third shifts to meet your delivery date.
Higher Standards, Priced Honestly
Our pricing reflects the quality of finish we deliver and the credentials we bring to the job. Clients who have had substandard blasting and coating come back to them from other suppliers know what poor prep costs downstream. We're upfront about our rates, and we stand behind the work.

FAQ
Have questions? We have answers
What's the difference between sandblasting and abrasive blasting?
They refer to the same process. "Abrasive blasting" is the technically correct industry term, but most customers search for "sandblasting." We use a range of abrasive media including garnet, steel grit, glass beads and steel shot depending on the substrate and the anchor profile required by the coating specification. The equipment is the same regardless of media.
Do you offer mobile sandblasting near me?
Yes. We operate a mobile sandblasting truck and can come to your site anywhere across the South East Melbourne region, including Dandenong, Noble Park, Springvale, Hallam, Keysborough and surrounds. We bring containment sheeting, dust extraction and all required safety equipment to site.
What is dustless blasting or wet abrasive blasting?
Wet abrasive blasting, also called dustless blasting or vapor blasting, introduces water into the blasting process to significantly reduce airborne dust. It suits onsite blasting where dust control is a requirement, and certain substrates where dry blasting may cause surface damage or distortion.
What areas do you service?
Based in Dandenong, we service the entire South East Melbourne corridor and beyond:
Dandenong · Dandenong South · Dandenong North · Dandenong East · Noble Park · Springvale · Hallam · Endeavour Hills · Narre Warren · Keysborough · Mulgrave · Clayton · Pakenham · Bayswater
We also service all of Victoria and take on interstate work Australia-wide
Do you do powder coating?
Powder coating is temporarily on hold while we expand our facility. We offer a full range of liquid protective coatings in the meantime, including epoxy primers, zinc-rich primers, and polyurea and polyurethane systems.
How do you quote a job?
Most quotes are handled via photos and engineering drawings without needing a physical inspection first. Send us your photos and any relevant specifications and we'll turn around a figure quickly. For larger or more complex jobs, we can arrange a free onsite estimate.
Can you handle large or heavy components?
Yes. Our workshop handles individual items up to 5,000kg per piece and we regularly work on structural steel, large fabricated assemblies and heavy industrial components.
Need TO MEET A DEADLINE?
Send us photos and your spec — we'll come back fast. We specialise in Sandblastinfg & are locatign in Dandenong. We service all of Victoria and take on interstate work. No job too big or too small.
